A journey to becoming parents. Birth is not just a baby being born it is also about making parents. It is about beauty and strength, the start of a new family or a bigger family. Seeing and holding your baby for the first time is incredibly emotional and in these intense and vulnerable moments nothing else matters. Being able to look back on these images your birth photographer took will give back memories you didn’t even remember happening. Birth is more than that one moment. It is about capturing the entire story. As a birth worker and birth photographer I know when to move discretely out of the way. I will walk this journey with you on this day respecting the birth space and the birth team.

When you should book
As soon as you have a guess due date. Contact me and we will check that I am available for your dates, schedule a time to meet to go over your ideal birth plan and vision for having me as your Birth Photographer. This is a great time to get to know one another. How will we know its the right fit? we just know. You deserve to feel confident and comfortable in your decision. Once you decide to book i’ll send you a contract, you can make your deposit, we sign and keep in contact till the day!.

When do I show up
I show up when things are in active labor, intense, consistent contractions that need focus & quiet. Births that utilize cervical checks this would be around 6cm point. Scheduled Births we will communicate time. Communication is key, contacting me at the first signs of labor helps us determine when I show up. I go on call for you starting at 38 weeks until baby arrives. I stay with you up to 2 hours post birth.

My ideal client is a person that is aware and informed on their birth. They believe birth is beautiful and hopes for a positive birth experience with a support person or team that can assure those wishes of client.
